Flatbush Avenue Station - LIRR
Flatbush Avenue Station, also known as the Atlantic Terminal, forms the west-end terminal of the Atlantic Branch of the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) and also forms the main departure point for the Far Rockaway, Hempstead and West Hempstead branches of the LIRR.
Transport Linkages
The Flatbush Avenue Station is located right next-door to the Atlantic Avenue-Pacific Street Subway station (soon to be renamed the Barclays Center), which is served by New York Subway lines 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, M, N, Q and R. Several New York City bus routes also stop outside the station or in the surrounding area.
Around Flatbush Avenue Station
The Flatbush Avenue Station is of course located on Flatbush Avenue, one of Brooklyn's major thoroughfares. Flatbush Avenue connects Long Island with several of the area's main attractions. The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens are a couple of Subway stops south of the station and the Long Island University and Fort Greene Park are just north.
